FUNDRAISING PSYCHIC NIGHT Wednesday 11th November 2015

After a successful fundraiser in earlier this year, Tea in the Pot are hosting another fundraising night, supported by June L Harrison and Friends Psychic Mediums. This will be on Wednesday 11th November from 5pm till 9pm. This is not a floorshow, this is for individual readings. Tickets are £15 pounds for 15minutes at the Pearce Institute, 840 Govan Road, G51 3UU. There will be approximately 10 Mediums on the night.

SUPPORTING DOMESTIC ABUSE

Tea in the Pot with Laura Docherty, will be running a pilot project, supporting Domestic Abuse - this will start on Wednesday 26th August from 10am till 1pm at Tea in the Pot in the Pearce Institute. Get real help from a real survivor. If you are or have been affected by domestic abuse in any way, please feel free to pop in during these hours.

SUPPORTING WOMEN AFFECTED BY ADDICTIONS

Tea in the Pot is currently running a Pilot Project drop-in which started 2 weeks ago. This will run on Wednesdays from 7pm till 9pm. This is for women who are affected by someone else's addictions, be it their children, family members, friends etc. If this is you, please feel free to drop-in and meet like-minded people.

Tea in the Pot would very much appreciate donations of guitars, needed for our "GEEZ TEN GUITARS" adventure - maybe you have one hiding in your attic or would like to recycle one to our group - we would give it a good home. Tea in the Pot Women's Drop-in & Support Service has been on the go now for TEN YEARS!
Thank you to everyone who has supported us, past and present, but especially to OXFAM SCOTLAND for their immense support. We would also like to thank the Volunteers, past and present, for all their hard work and commitment.

THIS IS THE 13yr OLD DAUGHTER OF ONE OF OUR SERVICE USERS - PLEASE READ, Thank you

"Aislin Smith is 13 years old. On a recent school trip she suddenly collapsed. At first it was assumed she had bumped her head but it soon became apparent it was something else.

She was placed on life support and diagnosed with Encephalitis caused by a virus on her brain. Since then our lassie has been in and out of induced coma, she is very unwell and each day is a fight for her and her family.

Sir Alex Ferguson visits Govan

The two Annes from Tea in the Pot welcomed Sir Alex Ferguson yesterday to their drop-in. He was also visited in the drop-in by his close Govan friends, including Mae Nicholson from the Preshal Trust. One of the Anne's said to him "You look a lot younger than you do on the telly". He is a fine looking Govan Boy for his age.

HOLIDAY CLOSURE

Please note that there will be no Monday drop-in during the month of July, so that our Volunteers can have a much-needed break. The Friday drop-ins will operate as usual, however we will be closed for the Glasgow Fair weekend. Closing dates are:-
Mondays 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th July also Friday 17th July.

We can still be contacted via email, Facebook and website during these times. If anyone requires an emergency contact number, please ask member of staff.
