John Beattie's blog on Tea in the Pot - see link below

John Beattie wrote: "A wee blog I wrote about the Govan ladies group TEA in the POT and the need to ensure they are allowed to continue to grow and provide a vital space for women that are victims of social exclusion, isolation and violent relationships.
Their services save our governments potentially millions of pounds yet struggle to get funding."

Visit to Scottish Parliament

A big thanks to Annie Wells of the Scottish Conservative Party who suggested we contact the Health Minister MSP Shona Robison, to arrange to meet with her on our visit to Scottish Parliament on Wednesday 9th March. The Health Minister was very generous with her time and engaged with Tea in the Pot members, listening to the women giving their own reasons how Tea in the Pot has helped them.
She also acknowledged our financial plight and the length of time that Tea in the Pot has been in existence - 10yrs! Run solely by Volunteers.

Thanks to funding from Awards for All, we are running a 12-week course on Health Issues in the Community. 10 women have signed up to this. Part 1 started last Friday. If you are interested in taking part in future courses, please get in touch with us.
