Congratulations to our Volunteers Anne Keegan & Ann McGhee, who were been shortlisted as one of five women that inspire and make Glasgow a better place.

We found a sewing machine that actually works! Well done to the women who managed to make cushion covers, especially those who have never used a sewing machine in their puff! Thanks to Anne Marie and Margaret for all their guidance.

Reiki 1 Weekend

Well done to the 8 women who received their Reiki 1 certificates, having completed the Reiki 1 weekend. The weekend was thoroughly enjoyed by all who took part. Roll on the next one!

Scottish Elections: How Does it All Work?

Dr Murray Leith from UWS came along to Tea in the Pot to give us an 'unbiased' view of of the upcoming Scottish Elections, and how it all works. Many thanks to Murray and to John Beattie for chairing the event, which was open to to male AND female. 17 attended on the night.

John Beattie wrote: "A wee blog I wrote about the Govan ladies group TEA in the POT and the need to ensure they are allowed to continue to grow and provide a vital space for women that are victims of social exclusion, isolation and violent relationships.
Their services save our governments potentially millions of pounds yet struggle to get funding."

Presentation by Tea in the Pot members - Friday 1st April 2016

Well done to all the ladies who, as part of the Health Issues in the Community Course, did their Presentation on "It's Expensive To Be Poor". This was attended by over 60 people, including MP Chris Stephens, MSP Humza Yousaf, MSP Johann Lamont, local councillors John Kane and Fariha Thomas, as well as locals and community organisations. We would like to thank each and every one of you for your support.
