QUESTION TIME DEBATE

Thanks to the 33 men & women who attended Tea in the Pot Question Time debate, chaired by John Beattie. Thank you to Councillor John Kane (Labour), Ricky Bell (SNP) and Allen Young (Greens) for their input.

12 women from Govan, Whiteinch, Paisley and Clarkston areas came to see the screening of this film at Tea in the Pot. A very powerful and emotive film enjoyed by all. Many thanks to Community Development Worker John Beattie for his support.

BIRTHDAY WISHES

Meet Ruby, our oldest and one of our longest serving members. She celebrated her 88th birthday at Easter time in Tea in the Pot. May she have many more.

DIY workshop

Several of our women took part in a D.I.Y. workshop arranged by Dashing Divas and run by The Coming Home Centre. This took place at Elderpark Workspace. Women were learning how to use a drill and put up a shelf etc.

Christmas Lunch 2016

36 women attended a fabulous Christmas lunch, followed by tea & lovely cake in the Mary Barbour suite of the Pearce Institute, where we had some live entertainment from the lovely Laura Sweeney.

3 of our Volunteers had a stall at this event, selling the gifts made by them to help fundraise for Tea in the Pot

Social Education

At least 8 of our women are taking part in the Health Issues in the Community course. This course helps towards building confidence and increasing skills.
